Hi! This is a tale of growing up in two cities; Karachi my beloved place of birth and Toronto where I reside. Crucial years of my youth were spent in these two diverse places and have shaped a sense of self I’m now trying to understand. Motherhood triggered an identity crisis! Once career-driven I find myself at odds with inherently strong eastern values of nurturing the family first vs western ambition. Sincerely, Ms.Desi
