Hi! This is a tale of growing up in two cities; Karachi my beloved place of birth and Toronto where I reside. Crucial years of my youth were spent in these two diverse places and have shaped a sense of self I’m now trying to understand. Motherhood triggered an identity crisis! Once career-driven I find myself at odds with inherently strong eastern values of nurturing the family first vs western ambition. Somewhere between this cultural divide I found a space both confusing & enlightening; it is here I hope you will follow along as I entertain you with charm, wit (my kids think I’m funny. my husband does not) & reflection.

Sincerely, Ms.Desi
